Simularity Tapped for Cisco EIR Program

The Simularity team is extremely excited to announce it has been accepted into the Cisco Entrepreneurs in Residence (Cisco EIR) program.

Our pitch for the Simularity AI for IoT Predictive Analytics and Anomaly Detection won out over hundreds of other worthy startup presentations. Simularity will be one of five new startups joining Cisco EIR in Silicon Valley.

Cisco EIR is a startup incubation program that recognizes and supports early-stage entrepreneurs focusing on the Internet of Everything (IoE), Smart Cities, Big Data/analytics and other transformational opportunities strategic to Cisco. The program includes resources and opportunities to work with Cisco product and engineer teams, co-working space in Silicon Valley, financial support and potential strategic funding.

Since winning our spot in Cisco EIR, we have been busy behind the scenes on customer projects, attending conferences, and building partnerships with other complimentary IoT vendors and consultants in this high growth market.

Cisco predicts that the 15 billion devices connected to the internet now will rise to 25 billion – or maybe even 50 billion – by 2020, as the Internet of Things gathers pace. Internet traffic will triple over the same time as a result.

Our CEO, Liz Derr, commented “We are delighted that Cisco has recognized the huge need for predictive analytics at the edge of the network – where decisions need to be made in real time. Our product strategy dovetails with Cisco’s mission to address this challenge.”

We look forward to fully participating in the latest Cisco EIR cohort kicking off in Silicon Valley this month.
